Arrests
On July 27 at 1:53 am in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue, an adult
male was arrested on an open warrant requested by Takoma Park Police for
2nd Degree Assault. 05-9622

On July 28 at 11:00 am in the 1100 block of University Blvd., a male
juvenile was charged with Theft Under $500. 05-9683

Arrests cont'd
On July 28 at 11:36 pm in the 7100 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male and an adult female were charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia after a routine traffic stop. 05-9722

On July 30 at 2:12 pm in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was charged with trespassing. 05-9791

On August 3 at 12:21 am in the 7800 block of Carroll Avenue, an adult male was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. 05-9970

On August 4 at 11:40 pm in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue, a male juvenile was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. 05-10037

On July 31 at 10:40 pm in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested on outstanding Montgomery County warrants for Failure to Appear in Court on charges of driving while suspended. 05-9870

Crime Reports
On July 29, between 5:45 pm and 6:05 pm in the 7600 block of New
Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft was attempted. The ignition of the 1996 Honda Accord was damaged in the attempt. 05-9758

On July 29, between 8:30 pm and 11:30 pm in the 400 block of Circle Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 2000 Chrysler Voyager Minivan. 05-9766

On July 29 at 11:42 pm in the 800 block of Larch Avenue, a strong armed robbery was attempted.. An adult female was walking alone when she was
approached by three males who demanded her cell phone. The victim immediately began to run and scream. One of the subjects attempted to stop her by reaching out and grabbing her shoulder, but the victim continued to run. The subjects fled on foot. The victim was not injured and no property was taken. The subjects were described as black males, wearing dark clothing. 05-9767

Between August 1 at 7:00 pm and August 2 at 8:30 am in the 6400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary was attempted. A door lock was damaged in the attempt. 05-9939

Between August 2 at 6:00 pm and August 3 at 6:00 am in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 2002 Dodge Dakota. 05-9961

Between July 31 at 9:00 pm and August 3 at 9:00 am in the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1990 Mazda 626. 05-9990

On August 3, between 7:13 pm and 10:00 pm in the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 2001 Dodge Neon. 05-9989

On August 4, between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm in the 7300 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. 05-10029

On August 4 at 11:07 pm in the 8200 block of Roanoke Avenue, police received several reports of gun shots heard. When police responded, they found an adult male who said he had earlier been involved in an argument with a subject known to a friend of his in front of the friend's home. A short time later while the victim was still standing outside speaking to friends, the subject returned and fired a gun at the victim four times, hitting a parked vehicle and missing the
victim and bystanders. The suspect was described as a black male, in his 20's, tall, thin, dark complexion, wearing a blue jersey and black jeans. The incident is under investigation. 05-10032
