Crime Reports
On July 7 at 10:00 pm in the 100 block of Lee Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. The victim was delivering pizza to an apartment when he was approached by a subject who pointed a gun at him. Three other subjects surrounded the victim, one of which removed the victim's property from his pockets. The victim fled and was not injured. The victim could only describe the subjects as all males wearing black clothing. 05-8788

On July 9 at 2:10 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. Unknown suspects entered a room through an open door and removed property. 05-8833

Between July 8, time unknown and July 11 at 9:30 am in the 6700 block of Eastern Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1991 Chevrolet Caprice. 05-8934

Between July 11 at 8:00 am and July 12 at 6:50 am in the 7400 block of Cedar Avenue, a residential burglary occurred. A garage door was broken to gain entry. Property was taken. 05-8950

On July 12 at 8:55 am in the 7100 block of Willow Avenue, an auto theft occurred. It is unknown what method was used to steal the 1988 Toyota 4Runner. 05-8962

On July 12 at 5:43 pm in the 7200 block of Carroll Avenue, an auto theft occurred. The owner left the 2002 Subaru Outback running while loading items. The owner's two dogs were in the vehicle when it was stolen. 05-8968

On July 14 at 2:30 pm at the intersection of Sligo Creek Parkway and Kennebec Avenue a report for shots fired was made to police. Officers found a wounded man with an acquaintance attempting to provide medical assistance. The man was pronounced dead a short time later. The investigation by Takoma Park Police in conjunction with M-NCPPC Police will continue, but initial reports suggest that the wound was self- inflicted. 05-8421
