At about 2:30 p.m. July 14, Takoma Park Police responded to a report of shots fired in Sligo Creek Parkway. Officers responded to assist M-NCPPC Police. At the Parkway and Kennebec, officers located a wounded man and an acquaintance attempting to provide medical assistance.
The victim, a Silver Spring (Flower Ave.) resident, was transported to a hospital
where he was pronounced dead. Investigation continues with all preliminary indications suggesting the wound was self-inflicted.
