Arrests:
On March 25 at 9:56 am in the 900 block of Merrimac Drive, an adult male was arrested and charged with Kidnaping, False Imprisonment, 1st Degree Assault and Concealed Deadly Weapon after an adult female reported that the suspect had assaulted her and held her against her will during an incident that began earlier that day in the 7600 block of Carroll Avenue. The victim sought treatment for minor injuries later. The victim and suspect were known to each other. 05-3912
On March 26 at 1:29 am in the 6400 block of Kansas Lane, an adult male was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of CDS, one count of Possession of CDS Paraphernalia and Driving while Suspended. 05-3954

On March 26 at 9:47 pm in the 7700 block of Maple Avenue, an adult female was arrested on an open Montgomery County warrant for Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of Driving While Suspended. 05-4000
On March 27 at 10:34 am in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an adult male was arrested and charged with Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. 05-4045
On March 27 at 2:02 pm in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, criminal citations for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Trespassing were issued to two adult females. 05-4050
On March 27 at 11:08 pm in the 1100 block of University Blvd., an adult male was arrested and charged with Theft and several traffic related offenses. 05-4065
On March 30 at 1:00 pm in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, officers responded to a call for a trespassing at a business. Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile female and adult male. When an officer attempted to question the male, the subject fled in his vehicle, striking the officer with his vehicle. The male subject was arrested a short time later after driving erratically on New Hampshire Ave. and colliding with two other vehicles, then fleeing on foot. Two citizens in one of the vehicles were injured and taken to hospitals. The officer was not injured. The male subject was charged with four counts of 1st Degree Assault, Possession of CDS, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, Possession of a Handgun, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, Negligent Driving, Fleeing and Eluding and several other traffic related offenses. The juvenile female was charged with Concealed Deadly Weapon, Handgun on Person, False Statement to Police Officer and Possession of CDS. 05-4172
On March 31 at 9:47 am in the 7500 block of Maple Avenue, an adult male was on an open warrant from Montgomery County for Failure to Appear in Court on a charge of Driving while Suspended. 05-4207
Crime Reports:
On March 26 at 9:56 am in the 7600 block of Takoma Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. Unknown suspect(s) broke an exterior window to gain entry to the building. There was additional damage inside the building. Property was taken. 05-3978
On March 26 at 8:05 pm in the 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue, an armed robbery occurred. Two adult males were approached by two subjects they had agreed to meet earlier in a parking lot. After some conversation, one of the subjects threatened one of the victims, demanded his wallet and tried to strike him. After the subject took the victim’s wallet, he demanded the second victim’s wallet, but left the scene without taking it. One of the victims saw a handgun concealed on the first subject. The victims were not injured. The first subject was described as a black male in his 20's, 5'10", 180lbs, medium build, brown eyes, dark complexion, braided hair, wearing a blue t-shirt and dark windpants. The second subject was described as a black male in his 30's, 5'11", 200lbs, large build, brown eyes, dark complexion, short hair, wearing light blue t-shirt and jeans. 05-3998
Between March 27 at 12:00 pm and March 28 at 9:00 am in the 7600 block of New Hampshire Avenue, a commercial burglary occurred. The rear door of the business was damaged in order to gain entry. Property was taken. 05-4075
