Tuesday, March 13, 7:30pm in the library, translator Tiina Nunnally will meet with us to discuss Sigrid Undset's Kristin Lavansdatter trilogy.
Subsequent discussions will be held in the Community Center on Wednesday evenings: March 28, April 11, and April 25. Do not miss this. Medieval lies, attempted rape, plague, suicide, adultery, as well as undying, unfortunate, unrequited love. It's good.
Undset won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1928, largely for this group of novels. Tiina Nunnally won the PEN Translation Prize for her brilliant translation of this work.
