The Leonid meteor shower should peak here around 4 AM the 17th. Try to get away from light pollution, though that is increasingly difficult in Takoma Park. Forecast? Clear skies.
The spectacular Leonids this year should be in Asia, where two debris streams, from the 1466 and 1533 crossings of the Tempel-Tuttle comet, should both hit at the same time.
