Emory University has developed an online assessment tool that can help you determine whether or not your symptoms indicate flu.
Flu self-assessment test
Interesting charts: Through week 37 of the year | After week 37 | Why 2 charts? Week 40 is the New Year for flu epidemiologists, the traditional beginning of the flu season. So their yearly charts begin and end at around that point.

Maryland flu watch
Montgomery County Health Department Call the flu hotline, 240.777.4200, or check their web site for information. All clinics have now been canceled.
Be a good citizen. Please participate in Maryland's tracking project. Most epidemiological surveys rely on information from doctors. But what about the larger group that doesn't go to the doctor for every cold or flu-like illness? You will be asked to report weekly on whether you, or any members in your household, have respiratory symptoms. And remember to use the self-assessment tool (above) if you do come down with something. That also contributes to the knowledge base.
Regular, seasonal, flu shots were available at the Community Center on Friday, October 9, 10-noon. Missed it? Visit your own doctor, check your local pharmacy, or use the special find-a-flu-shot search tool.
