We are open today, though WTOP is reporting that area libraries and schools are closed.

The Montgomery County schools are also open and we can hear the children on the fields behind us. The Montgomery County libraries are closed.

"It's a federal holiday, which means all federal, state and local government offices are closed. Courts, banks and most post offices are also closed.
