The Library will celebrate Children's Book Week --Nov. 12-17 --in two ways. First, throughout the week, patrons, both adults and children, are asked to fill out a brief form (available at the main desk) with the name of their favorite children's book and why they like it so much.
Then, on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m., we'll have a read-aloud featuring Caldecott Medal-winning books. All ages are welcome; register by calling 301-891-7259.
At our read-aloud, we’ll be reading some of your favorites - Officer Buckle and Gloria, Joseph Had a Little Overcoat and Kitten’s First Full Moon - as well as some lesser-known Caldecott winners. Our program will begin at 7 p.m. and we’ll conclude with a craft related to the Caldecott winning Snowflake Bentley. Please call 301-891-7259 to register.
