Our 2006 Summer Quest program, featuring a story and game designed by Library staffer Dave Burbank, was a rousing success.
We celebrated the end of this year's program with a party, attended by 35 kids and adults. Everyone got a prize, and Cameron Roberts won the raffle, taking home a huge stuffed bear that has been "living" in the Library's storeroom.
Here are some final statistics from the 2006 Summer Quest program:
__79 kids signed up for the program
__ 40 kids actually read one or more books
__ In total, those 40 kids read 343 books!!! That's right, 40 kids -- 343 books!
__ The highest number of books read by one participant was 40! Another reader came close, with 39 books, while the third-highest reader read 36 books.
Look for an all-new program next summer!
